This camping (or glamping, if you will) engagement session at Elk Island Retreat and Campgrounds was as adventurous, romantic, steamy, intimate, and beautiful as engagement sessions can get. Kate and Brenton are just the most in-love couple. It was such an honor to be able to capture both this dreamy engagement session and their incredible wedding day.
Elk Island Retreat and Campgrounds is a wonderful property located in Alberta, very close to the Elk Island National Park. Hence, the name. These campgrounds were actually where the pair ended up having their wedding day take place as well! The super cool geometric clear domes that you see pictured in most of these engagement photos were one of the main features of the venue that made this session so much fun. Well, that and Kate and Brenton themselves, of course.
We started the engagement session off by cozying up inside one of the domes. These photos turned out so romantic. We’re talkin’ fire emoji worthy romantic. 🔥 After a couple of outfit changes and exploring more of the grounds, we finished the session off by playing in the road. Which is oddly enough something I find myself doing with a lot of the engagement sessions I shoot!
If you want to see how Kate and Brenton’s incredible boho-festival-themed wedding day turned out, you can check out part 1 here and part 2 here. Yep, I had to split it up into two separate blog posts because the day was just bursting with too much magic to fit into one. And that pretty much sums up how I feel about these two.
