Elk Island Retreat Wedding pt. 2 │ Kate + Brenton

Welcome to the official part 2 of this incredible Elk Island Retreat wedding. I couldn’t bear to cut down anymore on the photos from this magical day, so I had to split it into two separate blog posts for the sake of space. In this post, you’ll see more of what happened after the outdoor wedding ceremony took place.

After the ceremony and a few quick shots with their bridesmaids and groomsmen, the couple and I headed back to the getting-ready tents for some private bride and groom portraits. We then headed over to the tented reception, which was (in my opinion) the best part of the day. The reception details here are just the best. So unique, fun, and special to the bride and groom. The mix of boho and music-forward details perfectly reflected the “festival” vibes the couple was going for. The fluffy boho florals, the macrame touches, the disco balls… it was all just too perfect.

Before cake cutting (you have to scroll and see the adorable flower-adorned wedding cake) and dancing the rest of the night away, Kate and Brenton and I snuck away to take advantage of the setting sun and golden hour light. These golden hour wedding portraits came out absolutely magical.

I hope you enjoyed this Elk Island Retreat wedding pt. 2. And if you need a little refresher, you can check out pt. 1 here.
