This dreamy Moraine Lake elopement was a long time coming. Robyn and Sam had actually planned on eloping earlier, but Covid had something else in mind. The pair wanted to elope to Moraine Lake all the way from the UK, so travel restrictions put in place due to the pandemic pushed back their elopement plans an entire year. It was so worth the wait, though, because this lake elopement turned out to be an incredibly romantic time.
The day started off with the sweetest first look. I loved watching Sam’s reaction to seeing Robyn in her wedding dress for the first time. First looks are always the best. Robyn had the prettiest bridal details, including gorgeous rose embroidery on her veil and a simple (but effective) neutral bouquet. After first looks, the pair said their vows in a sweet and intimate lake-side ceremony.
Post-ceremony, Robyn and Sam brought out the adorable custom picnic basket they had made for this very occasion, and the two toasted to finally becoming husband and wife. Sam then whipped out the custom bridal sneakers he had made for Robyn, which was just perfect considering the adventure we went on for bride and groom portraits!
