I recently had the incredible opportunity to capture an intimate elopement at the breathtaking Fairmont Château in Lake Louise. This hidden gem nestled in the heart of Alberta provided the perfect backdrop for Emily and Peter’s special day.
The couple chose to escape the traditional wedding scene and opt for a more intimate elopement. This decision allowed them to truly focus on what mattered most – their love for each other and the beautiful surroundings they found themselves in.
As an Edmonton elopement photographer, I am constantly drawn to unique and adventurous locations like Lake Louise. I believe that the beauty of a place can enhance emotions and help tell a story through the photographs.
Storytelling is a huge part of my process. This day it came into full force. Once I learned Emily wanted to get into the frigid waters of Lake Louise and that she had this loose veil the story was born. I had a vision of a bride emerging from the water to marry the love of her life and spend one perfect day with him. Only to return afterward and she was also one with the water. I always made up stories as a child. Photography is my catalyst now for creating and daydreaming!
Thanks to Emily and Peter for going along with my vision!
